Fun Valentine’s Day Ideas for the Family

Valentine’s Day is a great holiday to mix craft projects with fun edibles and games.

I love this Fairy Valentine Tree from DisneyFamily.com. It is fun to create and it can serve as the dinner centerpiece.

For a game this Valentine’s Day Game for Kids inspired by Blue’s Clues is an instant crowd pleaser. My girls love searching for the clues and then figuring out what the next activity will be.

For a dinner theme, consider doing a “Night of Things We Love.” Then make favorite dishes. In my house chicken tenders, macaroni ‘n cheese and cupcakes top the list.

My one deviation might be these chocolate Valentine cookies. They are not on the favorite list yet, but I have a good feeling they will be once I make them.

I will also make biscuits with strawberries (A treat for me!).

For bedtime there are plenty of Valentine’s Day books, our favorite is Dora Loves Boots. Follow up the book with a conversation about all of the things you love about each other and everyone will go to sleep feeling loved, special and happy.

Do you have any family ideas to share?
