Anytime there’s a reason for me to celebrate those that bring sweetness to my life I am all for it.
And if that holiday has its roots in giving to those less fortunate, I am thrilled! This is why I love Sweetest Day.
It gives me another chance to do good for some people I know and some I don’t. And the “good” doesn’t have to be something big; it really is about the gesture.
If you want to do something special for Sweetest Day, here are a few ideas:
- Call a friend/family member and wish them a “Happy Sweetest Day.” Tell them why they make your life sweet.
- Make “Thank You” cards.
- Leave a gift for your postal worker or another person that does a service (make sure it’s packaged properly and preferably store bought if they don’t know you personally).
- Donate to a local food pantry/non-profit organization.
- Give Chocolate/Candy.
- Make a special breakfast.
- Make cupcakes for a shelter.
Happy Sweetest Day!
